Our designed environment fascinates me to no end. There are particular places, however, that inspire me and leads me to ask questions. Most of the time it's questions about how I could alter the current design to make it better. Sometimes it's the simple "what were they THINKING?".
My top three places to ask these questions are definitely college campuses, downtown areas and stores. The first two places offer a large variety of interesting things to look at that incorporate both natural and designed elements while the third place provides me with diverse designs to observe and learn from. Truth of the matter is, however, inspiration can strike me at any given moment. Unfortunately for this assignment my group member were limited by how far we wanted to walk.
The following images are jpegs of designs that captured our interest(s) on the University of Oregon campus;
The best thing about all of these images is that they clearly express the character of campus life in Eugene. This assignment inspired me to begin photo-documenting everything or anything that captures my interest for inspiration.
